An organization whose mission is to help break the cycle of crime by strengthening families through support, education, and advocacy.

The agency manages offenders in state prisons, state jails and private correctional facilities that contract with the TDCJ. The agency also provides funding and certain oversight of community supervision and is responsible for the supervision of offenders released from prison on parole or mandatory supervision.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles publishes an annual report, parole guidelines, reasons for parole approvals and denials, and more. All are free and you may download them here.
